Well coming to one of the easiest and also 1st stage of CA is CPT i.e. Common Proficiency Test. Actually its not that hardest thing to score 50% of marks in CPT to get Qualified for next level in CA.But in order to get that 50% marks smart work is necessary. So coming to detailed explanation about CPT and its exam model , Subjects , cut off marks etc......
The new amendment in CPT says that CPT is exempted for graduates which has been approved by government in August 2012. It also says that a student should score minimum of 30% marks in each section and 50% marks in aggregate of all 4 sections. There will be a negative marking of ¼ for each wrong answer i.e. for every 4 wrong answers 1 mark will be deducted. Multiple bubbling of circles will also be treated as a wrong answer. If a student secured 30% marks in each subject but fails to obtain aggregate of 50% marks then the student will be declared as FAIL.
Above table clearly says that minimum of 30% marks in every section is compulsory and the overall aggregate should be 100…..I think you are little bit confused…., right…..? So we can go for a detailed view about this new amendment made by ICAI.
In our future posts we will try to come up with more information, tips and methods to crack CPT in 1st attempt stay tuned...
